The vision is back.  Originally thought of and developed in 2008, as a fun project to help start my hosting career GroundSounds.com an online music and pop culture magazine is back and better than ever.  With my newly acquired web building skills, I have once again launched this exciting adventure in hopes of once and for all becoming self-made.  Do me a favor check out the site www.groundsounds.com and give me some feedback or join the team.  I am currently looking for a partner in this new venture.

John West & Josiah Leming

John West and Josiah Leming – If you haven’t heard of these two musicians yet then please take note now. John West is a soulful acoustic singer/songwriter who’s voice has a jazzy essence and relaxing feel, while Josiah Leming is a heartfelt piano playing madman who’s energy and passion is exuded in every note. I recently saw them in action at www.avalonhollywood.com and I also had the opportunity to sit down to talk with each of them about their current projects. Their performance and interviews will both be featured soon on Musester.com .

Musester The New Venture

Musester.com

10 months ago I met a very inspirational, philanthropic, entrepreneur by the name of Johnny Buss. Johnny (former L.A. Sparks President), is son of Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss. He is a one of a kind guy, who is extremely passionate about the arts, and he is currently starting a new venture, Musester.com. Musester is in the works of becoming a large social cross-inspirational network for all artists and entertainers. It is envisioned to be a creative circle of artistic friends that share and inspire each other. There will be many features to the site including castings, contests, and more. Also featured on the site will be original video and radio content- this is where I come in. Johnny has employed me as General Manager of Musester World which covers all aspects of Musester Media. I have full reign to produce, interview, and feature any artist, comedian, musician, or event on the site. With this said if you know anyone or any event that would be great for the site please shoot me a message! Musester will be re-launching mid-May and we will also be going on a cross country tour starting at the end of May, 1st stop is San Fran! I will provide more details about The Musester tour in a later post. Below is a picture of the highly anticipated new Musester.com!

As you might know for the past 2.5 years I have been working diligently on my hosting reel. Trying to find, create, and book hosting gigs in order to build a hosting reel that will attract a good talent agency, with great agents, to work for me. For those of you who are familiar with the show “Entourage” I was in need of an “ari” an agent that will get me auditions and help choreograph my career. Finding an agent is not easy and finding a good agent with good pull and a great network is even more difficult. This is why I spent 2.5 years working on my reel, finding host work for myself, and gaining the necessary experience to prove that I am worth representing. You only get 1 chance at making a first impression with agencies (obviously) so it was very important to send out the very best. After editing and changing my reel many times I finally felt that the time had come to put myself out there and see what kind of response I would get from agencies. This was very scary for me, if I did not hear back from anyone I thought to myself what would my next move be? What would I do? However, my hard work paid off and I heard from my dream hosting agency Ken Lindner and Associates (KLA). They represent big time host such as Mario Lopez, Matt Lauer, Tom Bergeron, the list goes on….check them out at www.kenlindner.com And after meeting with them I now have their representation and my agent will be assisting me in choreographing my career! This is it is the next step towards success in my ultimate dreams of hosting a national show full time. Check out one of the best letters I ever received!

Cudder is Back

Jon Berrien & Kid Cudi!

I recently caught up with the Cleveland born, Ohio native ( <– hey I’m reppin’ the midwest) Kid Cudi at the 2010 Grammy Awards. He was nominated for three 2010 Grammy’s for his singles “Day ‘n’ Nite” and “Make Her Say”. He said he always knew “Day ‘n’ Nite” was something special, and that “Make Her Say” was a fun creative collab with Kayne and Common that they mixed up together in Hawaii. Cudi never disappoints and is by far my favorite hip-hop artist this year. While I love his two Grammy nominated songs his whole album Man on the Moon: The End of Day is phenomenal and has me anticipating the release of his 2nd album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. Checkout one of my favorite Kid Cudi songs below.
